That mind is free

What is the nature of a mind, that wishes to learn about itself,

To inquire into the nature of itself?

1. The first type, seeks entertainment, fulfillment, knowledge, understanding, experience.

   It is risking nothing and hopes to gain everything,

   There is no learning for such a mind

2. The second mind is brought to the search, to the inquiry,

   By a need -

   To overcome pain, to satisfy the thirst of the inner soul, or whatever that is,

   And it is willing to risk, and is willing to commit, but insists to stay in control over the inquiry,

   And never, no matter what, is willing to let go of that control,

   That mind has no chance to see any shadow of freedom.

3. The third type is risking nothing, because it has nothing to risk,

   It is asking nothing, because it clearly sees that nothing can come to it, to the mind, and add any quality to it,

   It controls nothing, chooses nothing, and flowing in observation.

That mind IS the inquiry

That mind is free
